Of course, what kind of holiday-ers would we be without sampling the food Cambodia has to offer, especially with it's French influence. We weren't there long enough to try everything we wanted to, but here's a few places we'd recommend as a must-try in Siem Reap, in case you have Cambodia in your "to go" list.

Cafe de la Paix. Part of Hotel de la Paix, this cafe serves light french food like fresh sandwiches, salads and an array of homemade desserts like pastries, ice-creams and chocolates. The best part of this place? The ambiance and the HUGE-ASS sofa beds to eat your food while surfing on free WiFi thats available through-out the place.
Kamasutra. Delicious indian food, served in a warm and cosy setting, in the middle of Pub Street (one of the two bustling streets in Siem Reap).
Le Bistrot de Siem Reap. Part of Victoria Angkor Resort, this is one of the priciest 5-star restaurant in Siem Reap. This is strictly fine-dine cuisine, so be prepared to feel awkward and uncomfortable when dining here. It's hard on the wallet too. But the food was good. If for no other reason, go for the food.
Le Bistrot de Paris. Such a shame, we only found this place on our last night after our dinner. Owned by an actual 'happy' french dude, this place is tucked in a little corner round Pub Street. It's incredibly cute, romantic and wistful. At least we had coffee there.. french style! Yeah... i dont know what that means.
