Naz was working this weekend, so it was a solo effort from me for our regular meet-up with the LeanBabes. I hadn't seen them in a while, with our last meeting being almost a month ago. But cute... LeanSister had a haircut and now we both realized we both have bangs. Suddenly everyone's having bangs. But I thought she looked chinky-cute and i know she hates it. Heheh... hilarious. I love my do though, because i part mine to one side, so i look more like the angel i am. I dont have my picture up yet, but i'll try next time. :)
Anyways, I had a late breakfast, so we went for something light. Don't ask me why dim sum is associated with eating light, because everyone always over orders. LeanSister was a regular at the Shang Palace at the Shangri-La Hotel, so 45 mins late, and just in time for last call, we were ready to order. Needless to say we ordered alot. But we did a pretty good job at finishing 'almost' everything. The food was really good, even though LeanSister claimed this was one of their bad days. It was one of the better dim sum fares i've had. The great dishes were Siu Mai with Scallops (pic06), Prawn Dumpling with Spinach (pic08), Vegetarian Peking Duck Wraps (pic13), Wu Kok (fried yam cake with bbq pork stuffing)(pic14) and one of our desserts, Durian Pancakes (pic15). The only huge let down was the Fried Yam Cake (pic11), because we thought we were ordering the plain-squared fried yam cakes. We were wrong. But the dish itself wasn't great. The bill came up to RM200 for 3, but it was all very worth it.

After our late lunch, we decided we still wanted to chit chat like little girls, so we took a table at the Lobby Lounge downstairs. But holy fuck... the coffee was expensive! RM18 each for our Long Black, Cappuccino, and Cafe Mocha. Really? Could i just have a Nescafe 3-in-1? Oh well... the one thing that made it alright was the company, the ambiance (which is really what i think we were paying for) and these incredibly gorgeous sugar stirrers. God, they were pretty! LeanSister couldn't help but stick one in her mouth. 3 second sugar-high...
