So, we finally made it to Prego at Westin in KL again. The last visit was a couple of years back for dinner, so Prego Pronto for lunch was kinda new for us. Lucky for us, i made reservations, because the place was pretty packed when we arrived. No surprise... it's Prego. Their Italian 2-course set lunch was RM68 per person, and you had a choice of either appetizer and main, or main and dessert. The selection wasn't great, and we're no connoisseurs of fine dining, so we both wound up committing to something familiar. Naz chose to start with an appetizer and i decided to add Calamaries to our spread, but that was before Prego surprised us with a complimentary loaf of bread. Uh huh... poor us. We're suddenly confronted with the same dilemma time and time again - over ordering! We're small eaters, so this, almost always, never ends pretty.
The food overall was ok.. but the service was great, the usual service with a smile. For us, that's the most important aspect of our meal. We're funny people, not all that unusual, but we prefer great service over great food. Honestly. That's why.. we're no food bloggers. So here's a list of what we had - Chicken Liver with Onions and Cabbage, Complimentary Loaf of Bread, Calamaries, Wholemeal Fettuccine with Creamed Salt Cod and Pear Cake with Chocolate Gelato.

You're probably wondering how after a heavy meal like that, we were able to make room for dinner. Hahah... we always have room for more food! Now, we were scouring for asian. We resolved to Yo!Sushi as we walked past it, after a quick errand at Mercato. As newbies, we weren't disappointed. Again... service was impeccable. And again... no surprise, it's a venture by the almighty Melium Group. The food was really good, but a little pricey when compared to its portion. We had an order of some kinda Maki (yummy!), Agadeshi Tofu (the only disappointment), Chicken Katsu Don (not too bad, but you'd have to have it with rice) and Firecracker Chicken Fried Rice (the jewel... the best dish we summoned. Not your usual japanese fried rice, but still, incredibly delicious!). Not a big fan of raw anything (i know.. weird for people who love japanese cuisine), we found it quite hard to be satisfied by the grub they put out on the conveyor belt. Yes people.. we fancy our food baked, barbecued, boiled, braised, broiled, fried, panfried, sautéed, stewed, seared, grilled, poached or roasted. Nonetheless, the food was good albeit pricey.
