We love Amsterdam because... well there are just wayyy too many reasons to lay out, so we'll give you our top 10 reasons why we love this city of legal sinning...

1. FEBO. This must be the national pride - the wall of food. Recommended by a fellow Dutch colleague, and now we know why. Go for the yummy croquettes!
2. Museumnacht. This is where we caught our lucky break. Museums can be pretty expensive, especially if you're trying to see them all. Well, on Museumnacht, all you need is one ticket (this also includes participating bars and restaurants)!!! Expect special performances accompanied by food and wine to accompany you all night long.
3. Everything is legal. Well, ALMOST everything.
4. The Dutch are the friendliest, nicest, most non-judgmental people in the world. Well, maybe they're tied with New Zealanders. But that's already saying a lot.
5. The trams. Small, but fast and super efficient. It's a cheap and quick way to travel and it takes you to almost every part of Amsterdam. Mind you, it comes at lighting speed, so you might wanna step further in while you're waiting for it.
6. The size of Amsterdam. Ok, i guess not everyone will agree with us on this, but because of it's size, it has managed to appear metro and quaint at the same time, and we love that about it. Plus, it's so freakin' easy to walk everywhere.
7. Clean, cool air. Coming from KL, this makes a lot of difference. The weather was so damn gorgeous when we went. Ok, so it was a lil cold, but walking around was really easy and you never feel oily, sweaty or dirty (like you would feel after walking for 10 hours outside anywhere in Asia).
8. Homemade french fries drenched in curry ketchup sauce. Sublime.
9. Our friend Sueh Li. We finally got to meet up with her when we were there. She's currently studying design in Den Haag. She's completely clueless about Amsterdam, but hey, we still got to see her and we had fun catching up.
10. Droog. I'm guessing this is their national pride as well. So who hasn't heard of Droog? Their shop is a must catch anytime you're in Amsterdam. Amazing stuff they have.
