projectNADA invades Krabi, Thailand

Oyesh, we love traveling. This is our first trip for the year 2008, and it seriously kicks ass. Shopping and food wasn't great as compared to Bangkok, but heck the scenic was fantastic. A little after our arrival, we headed to a seafood restaurant on Ao Nang Beach but the food was quite a disappointment, as mentioned before, this is nothing compared to what they have in Bangkok. Right after that, we checked into our hotel, The Pakasai Resort. I did some research before we got here, according to Tripadvisor, they are ranked #16 of 90 hotels available in Krabi, Thailand. Unfortunetaly, we were given the room in the dungeon without any view at all. Well yeah, we had the view of an unkept garden and concrete rubble. That sucked real bad.

The first day was a bit of a drag (probably because we were dead tired, and were probably conserving our energy considering this is only a 3 days 2 nights trip). We basically hung around the hotel and took a short nap waiting for dinnertime. Come dinner, we headed to this magnifico open-concept seafood restaurant. It looked really expensive and very touristy (is there such a word?). It had a very japanese fusion zen-like feel, with unique looking lanterns adorning the place. The dining tables were set on a plain by the river and they even have the dessert buffet-line served on the traditional sampan floating in the river, which was really cool.

On the second day, knowing there's really nothing much to do we except to check out the beaches, we bought the 4 Island Tour package and headed there on a speedboat really early, well, at least by our standards. I must say, thank god we did it because the experience was absolutely amazing, the grandeur we can't even describe in words. If not for the beaches being really overpopulated, it would be fantastic.
